Ever wondered how Instagram would look like back in the good ol’ 90s?
Russian designer Misha Petrick reimagines how the popular social media platform would have been like 20 years ago on his art project ‘Instagram for Win95‘. This is perhaps one of the delightful instances art and design decide to fuse an iconic relic, such as the Windows’95 interface, with a vehicle of popular culture.
The pseudo interface indeed pays tribute to the long lost aesthetics of the past.
Despite the limited color palette, vibrancy and flexibility of filters and resolution over here that our current interfaces permit, it is undeniable that this major throwback holds a certain charm and amusement to us smartphone-wielders.
